Rwandans Unveil their Favourite Local Films

The 6th Edition of the annual Rwanda Film Festival concludes today. After a successful Hillywood tour across the country, local filmmakers have reason to celebrate. Society Magazine’s LINDA MBABAZI asked some Rwandan’s what their favourite local films were. “At the moment we still have few local films, but I encourage local filmmakers to embrace their acting talent to develop the film industry. This year, the Rwanda Film festival has improved, because they screened films by local filmmakers, as well as African films.” Carole Karemera, Director of Ishyo Arts Centre, Kigali.
