RWANDA OTC MARKET REPORT; Week ended July 16th, 2010

Equity Market This week, the Rwanda OTC market recorded  a turnover of Rwf 138,000 from 1000 KCB shares traded in two transactions at    Rwf 138, drop of Rwf 4 from the previous closing price of 142 Rfw. The shares closed at Rwf 138.

This week, the Rwanda OTC market recorded  a turnover of Rwf 138,000 from 1000 KCB shares traded in two transactions at    Rwf 138, drop of Rwf 4 from the previous closing price of 142 Rfw. The shares closed at Rwf 138.

At the end of the session on Friday, there were no offers or bids.

This week on the Nairobi Stock Exchange (NSE), KCB shares hit a low of 17.60 Kshs (Rwf127) and a high of 18.15Kshs (Rwf131). 

On Thursday, a total of 894,600 KCB shares were traded and closed at 18.15 Kshs (131Rfw). The NSE All share index closed the week higher at 96. 50 compared to the previous week’s closing of 94.59

The Bond Market:
The bond market was quiet this week as no transactions were reported.  At the close of business, there were Rwf 200 million government bonds bid and there were no sellers. There was no transaction on the BCR bond.
