Since its inception in the world, soccer has created unity among those who play it and the spectators.

Eric Te Pasque, the Head Coach of APR FC, soccer is a great way to unite people since it brings them together.

“It doesn’t matter if you are white or black, rich or poor, you can have fun together as you play the game or watch it,” Pasque said.

He added that, soccer brings all kinds of people from all over the world to and watch the games.

“Look at the World Cup which is currently taking place in South Africa, it has attracted and unified all kinds of people who are watching it,” he said, adding that, “Soccer in general is a good game that promotes unity among the people.”

Chikwepo Masowoya a striker in APR FC says, “Soccer is the greatest tournament bringing South Africa’s races closer 16 years after the end of apartheid.”

Janvier Maniragaba, 25, moto taxi rider and staunch Arsenal supporter says that  the language of football is a means of interaction between him and friends whenever they meet.
“When we go to our favourate joints to watch soccer, we enjoy our company because that is the only time we are free from the hustles of our job,” Maniragaba said.
Soccer is the most delicate global sport that all kinds of people enjoy. If misunderstood, it can result in outbreaks of violence and hooliganism when two sets of supporters clash however, soccer can unite nations.
