Women and the case of the Ex

MOST people know a thing or two about this. That time when you’ve dumped or been dumped and you’re just getting on your feet. You are in another relationship and things just seem to be getting better, when out of nowhere, your ex just walks rudely back into your life. What most women can’t stomach are the exes who were perpetual cheats and then dumped them faster than Usain Bolt. They haven’t spoken to you or called in over a year but after spotting you at some party looking all Hollywood with a great guy who makes them feel like Woody Allen, they suddenly think your cell phone number wouldn’t be such a bad one to dial. It’s much easier if you’d gotten over this person because then you can tell them to sod off. But if somewhere somehow you still have a soft spot for the guy, you will be forgiving him much sooner than planned. He will say and do just about anything to prove he is worth a second chance. You will be bumping into him more often than you did when you were together. At one point, you will even feel sorry for him, but remember that when he was leaving you for some Kate Moss look alike, he did not even twitch. Trying to be polite he says things like, ‘I don’t deserve you,’ or ‘you deserve better’. Man! What beats my understanding is why guys don’t feel that way before; in any case, what makes him think he is good enough for you now? It is insulting, rude and downright selfish for anyone to behave like that. Sometimes I think that it’s not that exes miss you terribly and want you back but rather want to prove that they can have you back anytime they feels like. Giving in to this, only cements that point. All those months you spent crying your heart out, distancing yourself from your friends because you felt humiliated. There are women who literally starved themselves because they were called fat. Women should come to a realization that an ex’s charm or mega watt smile is not enough. If you’ve moved with someone else, focus on your priorities and give him a chance to prove to you that not all men are dogs.
