Did you know that there are so many interesting things about Rwanda?

Our country Rwanda is called ‘The Land of a Thousand Hills’ for a reason. Have you ever wondered why it’s called the land of a thousand hills or why Rwanda is not a desert place?

Well there are also lakes, rivers, clouds and mountains around and there is a reason why they exist. When God placed these beautiful creations on earth, I am sure He had a purpose for them. This purpose is to help us people.

People who live on earth have the responsibility to look after all their natural creations. When we protect our environment, we enjoy all the beauty it brings us.

With our parents, we can go to the beach, tour national parks, and go camping in the mountains. We can also simply look around and enjoy everything.

Look up at the sky and appreciate the clouds, rainbows, sun and moon. Look at the trees and hear the birds singing; also enjoy the sweet scent of flowers.

As children, you can enjoy our beautiful environment every single day. This week and the days to follow, remember to learn about your country and love Rwanda because it’s God’s gift to Rwandans.
