Beauty starts from within

Most people think that proper hygiene is on the outside wearing designer clothes and faking a walking style, when actually one does not have to adorn a Dolce and Gabbana blouse to look civilized.

Most people think that proper hygiene is on the outside wearing designer clothes and faking a walking style, when actually one does not have to adorn a Dolce and Gabbana blouse to look civilized.

Civilization starts when a person opens his/her mouth, what smells comes from the mouth, under the arm pits and even how clean their dental formula looks. Below are some tips to get you started for that beauty regimen;

Tooth brushing/cleaning
Some people underestimate the importance of oral hygiene, like proper brushing and flossing, and only realize its significance after a bad case of tooth decay materializes, or when people avoid them when they open their mouths.

As children, we were taught the basics of caring for one’s teeth: brush after every meal (or three times a day), floss everyday, and set appointment with the family dentist at least twice a year. But I bet only a few would admit that they religiously stick to these simple guidelines.

According to a noted dental hygienist Sylvia Bresciano, having a great set of teeth is easy to achieve without breaking the bank. The decay of tooth enamel starts when plaque teams up with the sugar sticking in our teeth.

It is extremely important to brush one’s teeth after eating to prevent the reinforcement of tartar (the stubborn yellowish deposit coating our teeth).

Aside from tartar build-up, poor oral hygiene causes tooth enamel to weaken which results into the dreaded toothache. If one is particularly careless when it comes to tooth care, it wouldn’t take long before he realizes his teeth are slowly loosening and eventually falling. Since the enamel has already been attacked, the tooth is much more vulnerable to bacterial infection and decay.

Needless to say, one should not wait until he/she losses all his/her teeth before he/she does something about it. It is important to note the proper way of brushing teeth.

Dentists advise that we should allocate at least three minutes for every brushing to make sure we thoroughly clean every quadrant of our mouth. Flossing is also vital in maintaining good oral hygiene.

Through this process, hard-to-reach morsels stuck in between teeth are removed to prevent wreaking havoc to our teeth. One can also have coffee-stained teeth professionally bleached for that extra clean finish.

If the budget is tight, he/she can opt for teeth whitening products available in groceries. It is wise to invest in oral hygiene paraphernalia that can effectively aid in achieving and maintaining healthy teeth worthy to be featured in toothpaste commercials.

Clean head
Looking good and maintaining a clean head does not necessarily mean one must keep long hair. It is now common to find women with bald heads looking neat and great.

Summers make the hair oil, monsoons make them frizzy and winters make them dry. Season after season hair suffers the most.

Knowing your hair type is the first step towards hair care and its improvement. Loving your hair will help you in taking care of them.

Ironic, but true, that hair are the dead cells of our body, but it’s the biggest thing we fuss over! below are the first steps to great hair

*Choosing the right hair care products for the different types of hair
*Choosing a hair cut or style that one can easily afford and maintain
*Seek advice from professionals always

Nail care
Nail care pertains to looking after your nails and nail cuticles and areas surrounding the nails. Manicure and Pedicure are methods which are used to keep finger and toe nails in good shape. If you follow the below tips you will have healthy and good looking nails:

* Always seek professional help when it comes to manicure and pedicure
* Nail biting stops nails from growing and make them look untidy
* Always buy known products to use on your nails
* Nails should be treated at least once a month
