The Equity Market
The Rwanda OTC market on the 13th of August 2009 recorded no transaction at the close of business.
Wednesday 12th of August, Nairobi Stock Exchange (NSE) had a total of 670,600 KCB shares were traded. KCB shares traded between 21.75 Kshs(Rwf162) and Kshs 22.75(Rwf169) to close flat at 22.00 Kshs (Rwf 164) down 0.50 Kshs(Rwf 4).
The NSE all share indexes closed 0.24 points down to close at 71.40. The trading volumes were also lower than the previous day; 8,459,000 shares were traded on Wednesday while 8,819,700 shares had been traded on Tuesday.
DSE (Dares Salaam Stock Exchange and USE (Uganda Securities Exchange) did not trade KCB shares.
The Bond Market:
On the bond market no transactions were recorded. At the close of business, Rwf 2 billion worth of Government bonds were on offer (sellers) at Rwf 99.8 and there were two bids (buyers) of Rwf 2 billion and Rwf 5 million for the same bonds at 94.00 and 97.80, respectively.
There were also BCR bank bonds worth Rwf 150 million on offer at Rwf 100.50.
