Swedish streaming music service Spotify is set to launch its first mobile phone application.

The service, which uses a peer-to-peer network to stream music, has previously only been available to computer users.But in a new move for the company, it is planning to launch a service with Apple’s iPhone, which is designed to search for new music.

If given the go ahead by Apple, Spotify’s application will be available for download to iPhones within a few weeks.
Mobile phone users will be also be able to save playlists on their handsets when they are off-line.

Spotfiy is growing in popularity because it is easy to use and has a free library with millions of songs.
