True Friendship

By the time I was three, I couldn’t write my name on a piece of paper, I couldn’t dress myself, I couldn’t make my own bed- but there is something I was good at, I could smile and make friends. How would life be without friends?

By the time I was three, I couldn’t write my name on a piece of paper, I couldn’t dress myself, I couldn’t make my own bed- but there is something I was good at, I could smile and make friends. How would life be without friends?

The world would be such a lonely place. Imagine a birthday party with no friends, school with no one to talk to and the days when you feel sad and there is no one to encourage you.

Such circumstances make us long for friends; they are like rescuers in sadness and the biggest source of hope. True friends always know what to say and when to say it; they are like the best answers when the solution is unsolvable.

My teacher says:  true friends are soul’s encounter to one another for benevolence. For sure their presence only, makes a problem half way solved!

Friendship goes around; it is like a circle that never ends. You move, meet new people and make new friends. One time back, a friend wrote to me and said- You can always search around for friends, but true friends are the very few with unique dots that can always be identified.

And as I took a personal - friendship survey, I discovered true friends are those unique people in your life that you can always count on.

Despite the circumstance, they always seem part of your life even when they are miles away. The times you are completely lost and alone- they search everywhere for you. Honestly, such friends are few and if you have got any, you should keep them as treasures.

What about the untrue friends. Yeah, they are there too. They are the pretenders of life who blind other people’s hearts. Sometimes such friends are bad influence in our lives.

Watch out for that friend who prefers watching a movie to doing homework which is due the next day, the friend who drags your hand when he wants to skip class, that person who clings onto you the day you are making invitations to your young sister’s birthday party but acts like you have never seen each other after that.

Such people make everyone believe they are good people with good intentions. The days you need them to be there for you, they avoid you.

A good friend will not run away after a misunderstanding, but will try to find a solution to the problem. Whenever I am not on good terms with my friends, I write to them short notes expressing how truly sorry I am. it has always worked to create peace in my friendships.

Different people have got different ideas to solve friendship issues, some draw nice pictures, have a peaceful conversation with each other, write a nice poem and others just get back to each other the next day and pretend nothing happened.

Lastly, good friends leave memories that can never perish, be washed away or misplaced at any moment. Memories go with us everywhere and remind us of ‘True Friendship’!!
