Former APR striker Emmanuel ‘Crespo’ Sebanani has left for professional trials at Oman first division side, Salalah Sports Club, according to Mukura VC Secretary General. Olivier Mulindahabi said the striker left Kigali on December 31.
“We don’t know if he has signed for them yet, what I know is the team is struggling in the league so they need to raise their level for the upcoming matches,” he said.
Salalah is 13th in the league of 14 teams. “I think they need to leave the relegation zone, but the move would be good for our player because he will raise his level,” Mulindahabi said.
Former APR Kenyan international midfielder Moses Odhiambo has signed a one-and-a-half year deal for the same side.
Meanwhile, APR FC and Amavubi Stars defender Emery Bayisenge is set for professional trials with Belgian Jupiler League side Zulte-Waregem FC next weekend. Waregem are four points behind leaders Anderlecht with 44 points.
It will be the second time for the young defender to try his luck at the paid ranks after spending two-weeks in France with Ligue 1 side, Toulouse, but failing to impress.
