Kitoko is a famed local hip hop singer who recently hit Rwanda’s entertainment industry with his controversial hit “Ikiragi”. Below is what comprises his Perfect Weekend:
I don’t know how to begin this. Well, my perfect weekend can be best described as that when I’m free and hanging out with my close buddies: Chatting, laughing and all that.
My weekend starts on Friday. I get up at 8 a.m. to prepare for my routine music rehearsals or write songs.
After the rehearsals which normally go on until mid-day, I return home and take a cold shower and relax a bit and then connect with my friends.
To be honest, most of my weekends are perfect. For example, last weekend gave me the best experience of my life. I went out with my close friends and we really had a great time. We visited all the major nightspots.
Though I don’t booze, soft drinks work perfectly for me.
On Saturday, I wake up early again. Normally, my favourite breakfast would be yoghurt or tea accompanied with bread.
However, in order to avoid stomach complications, I don’t eat more than four slices of bread. My favourite meal is pizza, and sometimes rice and chips with meat or greens as my side dish. I eat, and then go into my room to either write songs or watch music, and then catch up with my friends later in the evening.
On Sundays, I wake up early in the morning and get ready for Church. I don’t stay out long. I make sure that I go back home before 9 p.m. and then plan for the next week.
Before I go to my bed, I watch movie series, Listen to local and international music. In short, this is what I call my perfect weekend.
