APR vs Defense
APR suffered their second loss in three matches at the ongoing Men’s African Volleyball Club Championship in Tunisia. The Rwandan champions were beaten 3-1 by Libya’s Ahly Tripoli last evening in Sousse.
APR lost the first two sets (25-15, 25-20) before recovering to take the third (25-20) but it was not enough to earn them a much needed win to boost their confidence going into today’s meeting with Defense Force of Ethiopia.
This was APR’s second loss after they won the opener against Mohamadia of Morocco 3-0.
In the second match of Pool D played on Friday, Borj Bouarrirj of Algeria continued their superior performance as they defeated the Rwandan club 3-0 (25-21, 25-18, 25-19). The win took the Algerian club to the summit of the pool with 4 points after two straight victories.
