Jules Deo Mugisha is the Communication and Public Relations Officer of the Office of the Ombudsman. How does a person from such an important office spend the weekend? He tells us below:
On Friday, after sports I head home for a shower and to check on my children. I guide them if they have home work since their mother is not in the country. I will spend the evening with them until we get to bed.
On Saturday I am up by 5:30 but remain on my bed listening to news from BBC, Radio Rwanda, Voice of America and other channels. At 7, I follow the “Imvo n`imvano” program on BBC in Kinyarwanda and Kirundi.
At 1:30p.m I have lunch which comprises meat, ugali with fish although I may decide to change. Hilltop hotel or Chez Lando in Remera is the place to enjoy the evening especially when I have to watch football.
I get home between 8 and 9p.m to either watch movies or other channels.
On Sunday, I go for prayers. I also never miss going for sports at Amahoro stadium although I may decide to go jogging around different areas.
Or else, I take my children at Le Printemps to enjoy games with other children.
By 7p.m, I am home to follow the evening news. I have supper at 8 but I do not get to bed before 11 o’clock.
That makes my weekend perfect.
