Jason Derulo (born September 21, 1989 in Miami, Florida) is an American singer-songwriter, dancer, choreographer, producer and actor. A young man blessed with gifts that only the Man above could provide, Jason honed his skills at performing arts schools his entire life, culminating in his graduation from the prestigious American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York. He is already a winner of countless awards. He has written hit singles for acts such as Lil Wayne, Pleasure P, Pitbull, Stat Quo and Birdman. His debut single, Whatcha Say, was released in June 2009. The song became a huge digital hit, selling over 2 million records and reaching No.1 in the US and several other countries. Derulo followed up with the single “In My Head”, and has stated that both are tracks from Jason Derulo, his upcoming album. Derulo’s eponymous debut album, Jason Derulo is due for release on March 2, 2010. He is currently promoting the album in his appearances as one of the opening acts for Lady Gaga’s 2009–2010 The Monster Ball Tour.
