Ten-time league champions APR face-off archrivals Rayon Sport this afternoon at Amahoro national stadium as the season reaches the first way mark.

As the military side hunt for their eleventh league title in six years, their opponents are searching for their fifth in the same period but the first in five years.

A win for APR will give the mid-season bragging rights while defeat will cost them the top spot as Etincelles went top after a 1-1 draw against Electrogaz yesterday.

Eric Paske’s side go into today’s clash in second with 23 points, one behind Etincelles while the Blues lie fourth with 20 points.

2009 Kagame and MTN peace Cup holders Atraco moved into third spot after beating Mukura 2-0 yesterday at Nyamirambo stadium courtesy of goals from Djabir Mutarambirwa (35) and Jean Lomami (83).

Lomami set up a fine through-pass into the path of Mutarambirwa for the first goal and the latter also returned the favour for Lomami who scored the second goal to give Sam Timbe’s side a deserved victory.

Mukura wasted several opportunities from Meddie Kagere, Akite Mudeyi and Hussein Sibomana in a game had a very low attendance due to the afternoon heavy downpour.

Etincelles came from behind to earn a 1-all draw with Electrogaz at Ferwafa turf.  Jean de Dieu Harolimana scored the equalizer for Etincelles to cancel Salum Alphonse’s first half goal for Electrogaz.

SC Kiyovu pipped Police 1-0 at Mumena stadium to move fifth on the table standing with 19 points. Jack Tuyisenge scored the winner for Jean Marie Ntagwabira’s side.
