The Congolese striker came on as a second half substitute replacing Leon Uwambajimana and went on to score in the 57th and 72nd minutes, both goals off good crosses from right-back Karim Nizigiyimana.

Danel Sileshi scored the consolation goal for Adama City in the 90th minute.

Both Rayon Sports and Azam FC have four points from their last two games, with the Tanzanian league champions having a better goal difference (four) as opposed to Rayon’s two.

Rayon and Azam drew 0-0 in the first game on Friday.

Jean Francois Losciuto’s team dominated the game yesterday but both new strikers Bertrand Yossa and Govin Motombo failed to find the target despite getting in good scoring positions.

Rayon Sports created numerous scoring opportunities in the first half with Yossa and both Motombo smashing against the posts.

Adama City too had their chances but Alemayhu Tekele, Debesh Desaleny and Abdulkerim Abafogi failed to beat Jean Luc ‘Bakame’ Ndayishimiye in goal.

In same game of group, Azam walloped KMKM 4-0, thanks to brace from both John Bocco and former APR striker Lionel Saint Preux.

Earlier in the day, Djibouti Telecom beat KCCA 2-1, thanks to goals from Mohamed Ahmed Hassan and Aboubakar Djama, whith William Wadri scoring the consolation goal for the Ugandan champions.

KCCA defender Ronnie Kisekka was sent off in the 81st minute for a bad tackle.
