He added, “Atraco game is over and my thoughts are on our next fixture against Etincelles on Tuesday. We have to win all the remaining fixtures if we are going to have a chance of challenging for the league title.”
However, his opposite number of Atraco Capt. Jean Marie Ntagwabira attributed the loss to injured and unfit players.
“We could have walked away with victory but the injury crisis in my camp resulted in the loss,” noted the former APR tactician.
He acknowledged, “Our defense was shaky and that’s gave room for their strikers to score goals. The entire team played well but the strikers (Machupa and Martin Muwanga) failed to capitalize on the good chances they got.”
Ntagwabira further added that despite the defeat, his team is very much till in the running for the league title.
He said, “We have not given up on the title; we have to win the remaining fixtures because they may also lose their fixtures and capitalize on their losses too.”
