NORTHERN PROVINCE MUSANZE — Registered cooperatives and associations in rural areas have been asked to register their members with the National Social Security Fund (NSSF). The call was made during a recent seminar for different cooperatives in the Musanze District. It drew participants from Atraco, Cotavemo (motorists), associations of miners, brick layers, and constructors. The NSSF manager in Musanze, Fred Iraguha, explained that saving with social security is a workers’ right.He particularly called upon workers on payroll to join NSSF through voluntary affiliation. During the seminar, participants were briefed on eligibility of members while being sensitised on the intricacies of the formal pension system as well as related benefits on offer by the NSSF. Ends
