RWANDA Defence Forces football side APR FC suffered their biggest loss in recent days at the hands of Kenya’s Ulinzi Stars at the ongoing East African Military Games at the Moi International Sports Centre Kasarani yesterday.

The Rwandan side suffered a humiliating 4-1 defeat.

Stephen Waruru’s brace and Evans Amwoka’s goal in the first half and Kevin Amwayi’s late goal gave the Kenyan Defence Forces side the comprehensive victory.

Substitute Eric Nsabimana scored 10-man APR’s consolation goal after Michel Ndahinduka’s received marching orders.

This was Ulinzi’s second win after a 3-2 victory over Burundi on Saturday.

In the other game, Uganda beat Tanzania 1-0 courtesy of Patrick Gonahasa’s strike. This was the third match for the UPDF and the second for the TPDF.

UPDF played KDF to a 2-2 draw in the first game before losing to APR 1-0 in the second game.

APR return to the field today, against Tanzania, as Burundi take on Uganda’s Simba.

The thirteen-time league champions APR will face Burundi in the final group match on Wednesday, on the same day Ulinzi will play Tanzania in another last group match.
