Whether you're in search of something fun to do with your friends or family and planning a night out, look no further because the Weekend Proggie team has picked a variety of events taking place today, tomorrow and on Sunday to help you make the most of your weekend.

Hot Friday @ K-Club

This weekend is packed with interesting events and there is something for everyone.   

Tonight, K-Club in Nyarutarama will host the ‘Hot Friday’ party, featuring Kigali’s finest DJs; Karim, Soft, Gomez and Brek.

Tickets to the party cost Rwf5000 (ordinary) and Rwf10,000 (VIP).

Don’t worry if you’re held up tonight, you can still hit the club tomorrow in the “Turn Up Saturday”.

Tomorrow’s party starts at 7pm. Tickets are sold at Rwf 5000 and Rwf 10,000 for ordinary and VIP wings, respectively. Make your weekend cool at K-Club.

Pubs and Restaurants

Plan a weekend escape at any of these hangouts in Kigali; KGL Fast Food, Cozy, Orange Courts, Chapter One, Ogopogo, and Executive Car Wash. They all play good music and have a nice ambience.

Africa Bite is another great restaurant and it serves a wide range of African dishes. Those in Kicukiro can start from Stone House just after SONATUBE and eat, drink as you enjoy great music from the background.

Kisementi is awash with bars; choose any of the following, Divinity, The Dug Out, Joy Time, Sticky, African Villa, Master Grill, and Stella. Be sure to have a fun filled weekend.

Bikini Party @ Tam Tam L. Kivu

The weather might have been extremely hot in the past days but the party goers are not scared at all and it happens tomorrow.

Chill out at Tam Tam Beach Club in the Western Province with the coolest crowd in the country, tonight at the “Bikini Party”.

Uganda’s Dancehall star AK 47 and Ghanaian recording artiste Edem are the main acts of the show.

Jay Polly’s fans are also reminded not to miss because the rapper promises to belt out his popular hits.

To add to the excitement, DJs Nruff (Kenya), Biggy (South Africa), DJ Africano will also carry their machines as will homeboy DJ Shalif will also be at the gig to make sure you enjoy the party.

There will be boat rides and basket ball games before the gig. The party starts at 3pm and the entrance fee is Rwf5000.

Night Clubs


If you want to dance to the music of the world’s top musicians, head to any of these nightclubs that we have chosen for you; Golemi at Lemigo Hotel in Kimihurura, Planet Club at KBC, Black and White at Alpha Palace Hotel in Remera, and Legacy at Hotel Mille Collines and Club Next in Muhima.

Spend an overnight stay at the Grill and BBQ or at Rosty Club if you’re a fan of karaoke. Kigali’s famous karaoke hosts will be on hand to ensure you have a good time.

Carolyn Nderitu will be at Grill and Barbeque in Kacyiru and Jane Lucky Uwimana, will be at Rosty Club in Remera.

These are the best places to visit this weekend if you’re extremely into karaoke.
