Sunrise and Bugesera have one leg in semi finals of the second division football league after registering comfortable wins in the quarterfinal first leg on Saturday.

“I am happy with the performance of my players. I hope in return leg at home we will have a chance to secure even a bigger big win. It’s only the first leg but I don’t think they can beat us 3-0 at home,” Bugesera coach Camalade Banamwana told Times Sport.

Sunrise registered the biggest win of the round, hammering hosts Vision 6-2. The Rwamagana side, coached by former Rayon Sport coach Abdul Mbarushimana got their goals through Pole Baranyeretse (2), Jean Dieu Nyabyenda, Ally Serumogo and Patrick Nyankindi, who scored one each.

In the other quarterfinal games, Etoile de l’Est drew at home with Gicumbi 1-1, while Vision J.Nouvelle of Rubavu lost at home to Esperance 1-0.
