Ndayisaba Foundation to organise memorial tourney

Fabrice ‘Eto’o’ Ndayisaba Foundation is set to organise a football tournament for the U-16 players to commemorate the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi for the third year running from April 14-16 at Kicukiro grounds.

According to Ndayisaba, the director of the foundation, the aim of the tournament is to remember the children, who were killed in Genocide.

“We have confirmed the dates for the tournament, but before the tournament, on April 9 we will visit Bugesera memorial site and after the commemoration week, we will have competition for both girls and boys,” the 17-year-old said.

He noted, “It has been confirmed the tournament will be held in Kicukiro. We need to recognise our friends, parents but this will be especially for the children, who were killed in Genocide against Tutsis.”

The confirmed teams include Ndayisaba Foundation and Sentapisi FC (boys) and the girls’ category will have Ndayisaba Foundation and Excellent Football Center.

Some of the tournament sponsors include; Magazine Solution Sport, Ferwafa and individual parents.
