Zombieland has been officially confirmed for a TV pilot by Amazon Studios.

Zombieland has been officially confirmed for a TV pilot by Amazon Studios.

The spinoff from the 2009 horror comedy movie joins six other comedy pilots and six children’s pilots which will be available for free to LoveFilm subscribers.

Customers will be asked to review the 13 pilots and help decide which of the 13 Prime Instant Video Amazon Studios titles a full-season show becomes.

“Zombieland is a fan favourite and we can’t wait to see where this story line goes in a serialised format,” said director of Amazon Studios Roy Price.

“We’ve been announcing a lot of exciting exclusive content for Prime Instant Video, like Downton Abbey, Under the Dome and Justified, and we think adding original shows, such as Zombieland, to that lineup is going to make Prime even more enticing for customers.”

Zombieland comes from the original movie’s writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick and producer Gavin Polone. The pilot is directed by Eli Craig.
