Kitoko has dismissed rumours that he got a scholarship to study music in the United States of America.

Reports emerged last weekend saying that the singer, real name Patrick Bibarwa, was leaving the country for the U.S and that he had even put his car (a Toyota Rav4) up for sale.

When asked whether the allegations were true, Kitoko, insisted, “No, I have not received any offer.”

“I applied for a scholarship in various countries, not just in the U.S but I have not received any offers yet. I am still waiting,” he added.

Putting the rumours to rest, Kitoko added, “I am selling my car because I want to buy a new one but not because I am leaving the country.”

The 26–year-old Afrobeat musician is famous for songs such as Kabuto, Urukundo, Ikiragi and Imfubyi among others. He has staged concerts in different countries including Uganda, Burundi, Belgium, Denmark, USA and Germany.
