Youth girls’ team regroup ahead of the AYGC

The national youth volleyball girl’s team has started preparations ahead of this year’s Africa Youth Girls Championships which is slated for March 20-30 in Egypt.

The national youth volleyball girl’s team has started preparations ahead of this year’s Africa Youth Girls Championships which is slated for March 20-30 in Egypt.

The team started non residential training last week but on Saturday joined residential camp. The team will depart for Egypt next Friday.

The team will be under Kenyan coach Paul Bitok, who has just helped the junior national team to secure a place in world championships is slated for Turkey later this year. He will be assisted by St Alloys coach Eugene Ngendahayo.

Provisional squad:

Demitrie Muhimpundu, Nassla Uwamahoro, Deborah Impanoyimana, Oliver Mutamba, Delphine Uwicyeza, Leah Uwimbabazi, Pascaline Mukashyaka, Belyse Irakoze, Laurette Higiro, Esther Uwamahoro, Seraphine Mukantabara, Marie Grace Niyigena, Hortance Zaninka, Valentine Mushingwamana, Denise Mukamana and Alice.
