NEWLY elected chairman of Rwanda Volleyball Federation Gustave Nkurunziza is expected to sign a bilateral cooperation pact with Tunisia Volleyball in a bid to improve the sport in the country.

According to Nkurunziza, the agreement will mainly focus on preparing the national team through training camps and training of coaches among others.

“This cooperation is very vital in the development of our players, teams and sport in general.”

“Tunisia has partnerships with Italy and it could help Rwandan teams play with other big teams from Italy and the rest of Europe,” he said.

Nkurunziza also confirmed that two Tunisian clubs will spice up this year’s Genocide Memorial tournament scheduled to be held in May.

“They will send two U-23 teams to the tournament to help raise the standard of the competition,” said the former Rwanda National University player.
