Just like last weekend, concert goers are in for another ‘concert-less’ weekend. Once again, all the fun will be derived from hopping from one joint to another. Let’s go!!Chill @ Lake Muhazi Travelling to a lake on a weekend is a good idea but it’s much fun if the drive to that lake is almost an hour. Lake Muhazi is located in the Eastern Province and around the lake there are many recreational joints you can visit TO have fun.Jambo beach is very accessible and offerS all drinks and food especially fish. You can also do some boat riding, play volley ball and feel free to join the natural water if you can swim (with a life jacket).Seeds of Hope is another top joint on the shores of Lake Muhazi. It’s the right setting for a family outing and has spacious gardens for relaxation. Like Jambo beach, you can also do boat riding, get good food, swim in the lake but they only serve non-alcoholic drinks.Relax @ Lake KivuIf you want to relax further, Lake Kivu in the Western province can do for you. There are numerous hotels and holiday villas surrounding the lake. Relaxing at the lakes extensive beaches is unavoidable and you can also do some swimming and boat riding while at these venues. National Parks & MuseumsAs far as tourist destinations go some of the attractions include the Volcanoes National Park, Akagera National Park and Nyumgwe. And if you have never been there before, each of these places can easily make your entire weekend. Take Huye District for example, located about 135 Km south of Kigali, it’s an attractively compact and peaceful town with a reputation of being the intellectual and cultural centre of the country. While there, visit the Nyanza Royal Palace—an impressive and enormous domed structure created entirely with traditional materials. At this palace, guide tours will help you understand more about the Rwandan culture, monarchy and the colonisation.DJ Focus @ KGL Fast FoodMost of you must have been there and I’m sure you agree that the place is amazing.
