Editor,You must allow me to respond to your article on abortion titled, “MPs to harmonise legislation on abortion, which you published on”, which was published last Thursday. Firstly, I am a woman so this is a very sensitive subject for me as well as many women. But I would like to say that “women’s rights are human rights”...the right to get rid of an unwanted pregnancy should not be subjected to medics’ or to courts’ approval.It is such prohibitive provisions that drive women to unsafe abortion leading to lifelong disabilities or death.aurien Nyabienda
