Dear editor,The story that appeared in your paper, telling us about a local defence man who killed a student, is shocking. Local defence men have for long been involved in unnecessary killings of unarmed people just because they carry guns. The poor student of Mutara polytechnic may not have provoked him/her at all, but the trigger happy man or woman decided to shoot him dead. This is not acceptable and the culprit should be punished seriously to deter others like him to continue shooting innocent civilians. Let all authorities in unison work to change the bad of record local defence force. KAYONZA
