Polythene bags ban ideal for environment

Editor, The latest proposal by regional lawmakers, to ban polythene bags within the East African Community member countries, is commendable and timely. It is explicit that the success of the registration is one of the best means to effectively protect our environment.  The government of Rwanda has succeeded in ending the polythene bag menace, a move that should be emulated elsewhere within the region.
