Dear editor, Following the Kigali marathon that took place on Sunday, the theme being ‘Run for Peace’, it’s encouraging to know that Rwandans especially the ladies are catching up in athletics. Though the Kenyan women dominated, the mere fact that a number of women participated for goodwill reasons, shows how united the citizens are when they do things together. Other people were cheering the runners and I wondered why I wasn’t among them to give support. More of these activities should be encouraged because they bring people together beyond any barriers.
