The 31-year-veteran cyclist put his experience to good use last Saturday when he won the tour after clocking 3 hours, 29 minutes and two seconds to beat Emmanuel Rudahunga by a second.

Ruvogera however expects stiffer challenge from the likes of Adrien Niyonshuti, Gasore Hategeka and Nicodem Habiyambere who have been undergoing a training clinic in South Africa.

Over 50 riders will compete in the 144km race which is being sponsored by Cogear.
