AFTER fielding seven players in this year’s 2011 Fifa U-17 World Cup in Mexico, Sec Academy is set to unearth more raw talent in a three-day U-19 football tournament which kicks off on October 14.
According to Augustin Munyandamusta, the owner of the second division side, eight teams will take part in the tourney which is expected to attract scouts from several African and European clubs.
“It is a great opportunity for the youngsters to showcase their talent because scouts from Europe and Africa will be watching,” Munyandamusta said.
On top of Sec Academy; Ferwafa, APR, Vision, Esperance, Dream team, Proline (Uganda) and Kenya’s National youth talent academy will take part.
The Academy needs Rwf16m to host the tourney.
