IT could be early days in the Primus League but Rayon Sport are impressed with their start.

The Blues, who have not won any kind of silverware since 2005, kept their 100 per cent record intact after Wednesday’s 3-1 victory over Mukura.

Strikes from Sina Jerome, Papy Kamanzi and Aphrodis Hategekimana were enough to seal an important win for Jean Marie Ntagwabira’s side bearing in mind that Police and SC Kiyovu had dropped points following their goalless draw.

“We are off to a good start but we have to build on it and make sure we keep the consistency going,” Ntagwabira warned.

“We should not get carried away because these are early days but I think such performances build confidence in the team and to win the league, we need confidence.”

Despite APR’s 2-0 win over Marines at Mumena, Rayon, who have six points; top the table on goal difference.

In other matches, AS Kigali salvaged a point away to Amagaju after a 1-all draw in Nyamagabe while Nyanza also held La Jeunesse to a goalless draw.

Etincelles were deserving winners against Espoir after a 3-1 victory.
