Primus league champions APR have finally landed their long time target Pappy Fatty and his colleague Seleman Ndikumana, according to the club’s Secretary General Adolphe Kalisa.
The military side, which will be in action tomorrow against Marines Fc in the Primus Cup, the season’s curtain raiser, are likely to give the duo debuts.
“They signed two year deals,” he noted but when asked to divulge the contract details of both players, he said, “….as a principle, this club does not reveal how much signing on fee or monthly salary they will be getting.”
Midfielder Pappy Fatty was on target for his country on Sunday in the Group H 2012 Nations Cup qualifier against Benin in Bujumbura. The match ended 1-1 and left both teams level on five points, two better than Amavubi Stars, who occupy the bottom spot.
Cote d’Ivoire has already qualified as group leaders with after collecting maximum points from five matches following last Saturday’s 5-0 mauling of Amavubi in Kigali.
The 12-time league winners have already made three signings that include Olivier Karekezi, Dan Wagaluka and Habib Kavuma, and are desperate to make three more signings before the tomorrow’s deadline for foreign players based wishing to play in the national league in the coming season.
