AFTER catching the audience’s attention with their energetic and powerful performances during the just concluded Primus Guma Guma Superstar contest, King James, Jay Polly and Dream Boyz are set to release their albums, courtesy of the country’s largest beverages manufacturer, Bralirwa.
Bralirwa initiated and organised the contest through its Primus brand in collaboration with East African Promoters (EAP) to showcase Rwandan music and encourage young talent.
Tom Close was crowned Primus Guma Guma Superstar 2011, winning the price of Rwf6million, a one year contract with Bralirwa as a Primus beer brand ambassador and a chance to record a song with international artiste Sean Kingston.
King James, who emerged the first runner-up in the competition, is set to launch his nine-track album dubbed ‘Umuvandimwe’ in December.
The R&B singer, who won many hearts during the competition, unveiled his debut album ‘Umugisha’ last year.

Meanwhile, Jay Polly’s ‘Iwacu’ is scheduled for October. The eight-track album follows the Hip-hop star’s first album, ‘Rusumbinzika’.
