RwandAir's management deserve praise

Editor, This letter is with reference to your lead story in yesterday’s issue of Sunday Times titled “RwandAir’s new Boeing 737- 800 NB plane lands."  John Mirenge, RwandaAir CEO and his team need to be applauded for giving this great nation yet another first! It is wonderful to know that RwandAir is the first African airline to own and operate the Boeing Sky Interior series. This speaks volumes about the tremendous progress made by the country under the able leadership of President Paul Kagame.

Editor,

This letter is with reference to your lead story in yesterday’s issue of Sunday Times titled “RwandAir’s new Boeing 737- 800 NB plane lands."

John Mirenge, RwandaAir CEO and his team need to be applauded for giving this great nation yet another first! It is wonderful to know that RwandAir is the first African airline to own and operate the Boeing Sky Interior series. This speaks volumes about the tremendous progress made by the country under the able leadership of President Paul Kagame.

RwandAir's plane flights to India would be great news. With the "open sky" policy presently prevailing in India and with a dynamic High Commissioner at the Rwandan High Commission in New Delhi, it will not be long before the necessary go-ahead and licences are in place to welcome Rwanda's national carrier to India.

Air connectivity is a key factor in enhancing tourist arrivals into any country. Rwandan tourism will certainly receive a big boost with this latest addition to RwandAir's fleet. This, again, is a testimony that the new Rwanda will continue to keep the country's flag flying high in the years to come.
