RAYON Sport coach Jean Marie Ntagwabira reckons that today’s friendly against Azam provides the perfect impetus for his team ahead of the new season.

The Blues take on the Tanzanian champions in a 5pm kick-off at Amahoro stadium.For Ntagwabira, the match will help blend new players into the team.

“We have signed a number of new players so today’s game is an opportunity for them to blend into the team and for the fans to have a close look at the new signings,” he said.

Some of the new signings include Hussein Mbanze, Juma Mpongo, Tommy Okello, Osama Farouk, Cedric Hamisi and two Nigerians whose identity was yet to be revealed by press time.

Amavubi striker Bokota Labama could also play a cameo role in the match.

Azam has been on a pre-season tour in the region. The Tanzanian giants have played several friendly matches ahead of the Tanzanian Vodacom league which kicks off this Saturday.

On Sunday, they outscored Uganda Super League champions KCC 4-3.
