Judging by the creative depths of his impressive new tracks, including “Igihe cyo gutabarwa” and Moredekayo, few people would envisage singer-songwriter Frank Benoit Kanyamutara to be one of the country’s most respected Gospel artistes.

Judging by the creative depths of his impressive new tracks, including “Igihe cyo gutabarwa” and Moredekayo, few people would envisage singer-songwriter Frank Benoit Kanyamutara to be one of the country’s most respected Gospel artistes.

This student of the School of Finance and Banking – SFB, cannot lose his sleep in his quest to successfully combine both studies and his music career.

Kanyamutara became famous after the release of his 2009 “Ishimwe” hit. He is grateful for the support he is getting from his fans, and calls upon Gospel music lovers to support local artistes to release more songs.

“People should not only enjoy Gospel music but should also support the artistes to be able to release more songs, in order to inspire people to know God,” Kanyamutara said.

Inspired by God while serving as a model to other Gospel artistes, Kanyamutara has had a passion for Gospel music and promises to inspire other people to dedicate their lives to God. He was born and raised in the Western Province before coming to Kigali.
