FA’s head of grass roots in the development division Les Howie, who is conducting the seminar at Ferwafa head quarters, yesterday said, “The seminar is aimed at identifying areas that need to be improved.”

Howie is part of a large Conservative Party group popularly known as ‘Umubano’ that is touring the country.

The seminar which kicked off yesterday attracted Ferwafa board members and staff, representatives from the Ministry of Sports, Youth and Culture, members from the National Olympic Committee, coaches and referees.

With the support of Ferwafa, Project Umubano delivered a high level coaching clinic in 2009. West Ham United teamed up with MP Alistair Burt to provide funding and equipment to the clinic.
