RWANDA’s veteran athlete Dieudonne Disi has resumed training after recovering from a nagging hamstring injury which had sidelined him for nearly ten months.
Disi is currently training in the high altitude areas of Musanze, Northern Province.
“It’s been a long time coming and I hope the hamstring injury is behind me. For now, I’m trying to regain my fitness,” he said.
Disi, who doubles as the vice president of the local athletics federation, has set his eyes on three races; Aviva London Grand prix set for August 5-6, Welkassee Zurich meeting in Switzerland scheduled for September 8 and Belgacom Memorial Van Damme due in Belgium on September 16.
