The Ecobank Group launched a US$30m Pan African Centre as its headquarters and a training centre for its staff across Africa.
Located in Lome, Togo, the 42,180 square metres complex hosts a conference centre, training centre as well as a technology centre hosting three data centres with connections in Accra and London and a club house.
“We want this centre to be a symbol for the success of Africa,” said Hu Ping, the president of China Electronics, Engineering Design Institute (CEEDI), the company contracted to construct the centre.
The construction of the centre that began two years ago will be finalised in two months.
Ping said they target the African market because of its growth prospects.
