The Minister of Local government, James Musoni, recently participated in the 22nd international forum of ‘Crans Montana’ in Brussels, Belgium, where he gave a key note address on Africa’s prosperity.
The "Crans Montana Forum" is an International Organisation based in Switzerland working for the promotion of international cooperation and contributes to global growth while ensuring a high level of stability, equity and security.
At the forum, Musoni told delegates that, countries with poor leadership have ended up losing connection with their people.
“Rwanda's case shows that there are success stories on the continent where government has invested in its people by promoting good governance and respect for people’s will. It is the only way to create a favorable environment for sustainable peace, stability and development,” Musoni told the forum.
The 22nd Crans Montana Forum mainly aimed at fostering best practices and ensuring global dialogue.
Meanwhile, the minister held talks with top Belgian government officials on the sidelines of the meeting.
He also met the elected representatives of the Rwandan Diaspora in Belgium at the "Rwanda House", the headquarters of the Rwandan Embassy in Brussels.
During the meeting, Musoni made a brief presentation of the government’s achievements in various areas and ongoing social economic and political transformation of the country.
