Primus Guma Guma Superstar Road Show will enter its final leg on Sunday, June 12, in Nyagatare, Eastern Province, Rwanda. The campaigns will kick-off next week.

The objective of Wednesday night’s Primus Guma Guma Superstar event was clear: 10 contestants vying for their place in the coveted finals converged at Manor Hotel for the draw.

During the event, each contestant chose a number to identify him during the campaign. It was a big deal, which must have been why all the contestants were elegantly dressed.

Tom Close wore a long-sleeved army green high collar jacket, with J-Polly opting for a short-sleeved jacket with a short-sleeved shirt. Mani Martin wore his lovely three piece suit, while King James, Rafiki and Riderman clad in black attire.

Dream Boyz opted for pink shirts and black ties and Urban Boyz preferred their trademark black T-shirts with shades. Faycal showed up in trendy pairs of jeans and a jacket.

Although there were amusing moments, and plenty of drinks to slow things down, the tension was very high, as the contestants nervously waited for the draw. MC Lion Imanzi, then got down to the night’s business, and he quickly asked the first contestant for the draw.

Below are the Top 10 contestants and their respective numbers:

Dream Boyz (8)
Rafiki (4)
Urban Boyz (2)
J-Polly (5)
Mani Martin (7)
Riderman (1)
Faycal (9)
King James (3)
Tom Close (6)
Dr. Claude (10).

There were no real surprises during the process as each artiste seemed contented with the accredited number, except for King James, who was later overheard lamenting about his choice of number.

Meanwhile, Dr. Claude, who is in the U.S for the ‘Rwanda Day’ was represented by a friend at the draw.

Speaking at the event, Alexander Koch, the Commercial Director of Bralirwa said: “It is a very smooth music journey and organisation. We are basically doing this to help get fans to support you during the campaign. This is really fascinating and can not wait to see how it goes.”
