NATIONAL University of Rwanda (NUR) will fancy their chances when they take on Algeria’s Blida in the quarter-finals of this year’s CAVB Africa Club Championship in Egypt.

The varsity side lost to defending champions Al Ahly 3-0 in their final group A match but the result did not affect them as they had already qualified following back to back wins against Al Nahda (Sudan) and Redskins (Lesotho).

In today’s quarter-final clash, Vincent Dusabimana’s experience attained from his professional stint at Teresena Volleyball Club in Libya is expected to play a key role.
Blida is full of confidence after beating Kenya’s GSU 3-1(23-25, 25-19, 25-17 and 34-32) in their final Group D match.

NUR need to reach the semi-final to qualify for this year’s FIVB World Club Championships in Doha, Qatar.
