A high-powered delegation of 45 delegates from Kampala Central Division this week visited Kigali City, with an aim of taking relations between the two capital cities to greater heights.
The delegation was led by Godfrey Nyakana, a former professional boxer, who is now the chairman of Kampala Central Division.
“It is important that we join our hands in search for solutions to our common problems,” Nyakana said on Wednesday.
The Speaker of Kigali City Council (KCC), Titien Muberangabo said it was the most senior Kampala Central Division delegation to have visited Kigali.
“It is a sign of the shared values between our cities.” he noted.
During their three-day visit, the Kampala officials discussed with their guests a wide range of issues ranging from good governance to the East African Community (EAC).
The Ugandan delegation also toured a genocide memorial site.
