AMAVUBI’s center-back Patrick Mafisango has to wait a little longer for his first Vodacom Tanzania Premier league title.

The former APR defender watched helplessly on Wednesday as his club Azam FC lost to arch-rivals Yanga 2-1 at Uhuru stadium in Dar es Salaam.

Azam took the lead through John Boko but a brace from Jerry Tegete handed Yanga maximum points while also opening up a six point lead over the former.

With two matches to go, reigning champions and table leaders Simba are favourites to retain the title.

Simba are two points clear of Yanga.
