Kiyovu football club president Benjamin Gasamagera has promised to solve the un-ending salary woes of the club players.

Gasamagera made the assurance during the club’s General Assembly that converged at Top Tower hotel on Sunday.

The General assembly meanwhile, extended the executive committee’s term of office until the end of the season.

According to the club president, the players have not yet received their February salaries and have hardly gotten their pay on time since the season started last November.
However, Gasamagera is optimistic that that February salaries will be paid early next week.

“The club is run on a shoestring budget and sometimes there are no funds to honor our contractual obligations with the players, because this club does not have a sponsor,” Gasamagera admitted.

Kiyovu’s executive committee remains with Gasamagera (president), Félicien Mutalikanwa (1st vice president), Jean Berchmans Kamali (2nd vice president), Jean Marie Vianney Nsengiyumva (Secretary General), Norbert Sendege (Treasurer), Mudidi Byumvuhore (Technical Director).

The Nyamirambo based side is currently second in the national league, seven points adrift of champions and league table leaders, APR after 11 rounds of matches.
