Mukabagwiza paid an official visit to Québec on March 17 during which she held talks with the provincial leaders and also attended a function at the provincial national assembly where Rwanda’s flag was hoisted alongside that of Québec.

Rwanda’s High Commissioner was welcomed by the speaker of the Québec Parliament Yvon Vallières before holding talks with Marjolaine Ricard who is in charge of international cooperation, Sub-Saharan countries.

She later held talks with Monique Gagnon Tremblay, the Minister in charge of International Cooperation in Québec.
During all the meetings, the cooperation between Rwanda and the Canadian province and how to strengthen the ties was the main focus.

Rwanda and Québec have a long history of cooperation dating back to 1962.
