The head of the Botswana Defence Forces, Commander Masire Tebogo Carter, arrived in Rwanda yesterday for a two-day visit.
The Defence and Military Spokesperson, Lt Col Jill Rutaremara, said Tebogo is accompanied by four officers and is expected to fly back on Tuesday.
“He is expected to meet with his counterpart Lt. Gen. Charles Kayonga. The two defence bosses will discuss issues of bilateral defence cooperation,” said Lt. Col. Jill Rutaremara.
“It is his first visit here but actually the two armies have been communicating.”
Commander Masire will receive a formal presentation on the RDF after which he will visit Gisozi Genocide Memorial Site.
